1 Scope
This notice covers the information we handle when you visit the Memory Assist pre-order page and join as a Founding Member. It describes the pre-order/waitlist only. The product itself is designed to be local-first and is not yet shipping.
2 What we collect
To reserve your place and keep you informed, we collect only:
- Your name — so we can address you properly.
- Your email — to confirm your order and send honest progress updates.
- Payment details — handled securely by our payment provider (we never see or store your full card number).
3 What we don't collect
We deliberately keep this small. For a reservation we do not ask for, want, or need:
- Any health, medical, or patient information.
- Information about the person the product may eventually help.
- Camera, microphone, or location data.
Privacy is a feature, not a footnote
Asking for less is intentional. The less we hold, the less there is to ever expose — and the more you can trust us with what little we do.
4 How we use your information
We use what we collect strictly to:
- Process your Founding Member order and issue receipts or refunds.
- Contact you about your order and the product's progress.
- Send occasional, no-spam updates you can opt out of anytime.
We do not use your information to make decisions about your health, and we do not profile you for advertising beyond standard, privacy-respecting audience tools (see §10).
5 Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (such as Stripe). Your card details are entered with and handled by that provider under their own security and privacy terms — we receive a confirmation and the minimal billing details needed to manage your order and refunds, not your full card number.
6 Email & updates
As a Founding Member you'll get occasional updates about progress and your membership. Every email includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@getmemoryassist.com. Refund and order-related messages may still be sent as needed to service your purchase.
7 Sharing & selling
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate (for example, our payment processor and email provider), strictly to deliver what you asked for, and only with providers bound to protect it.
8 Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to manage your founding membership and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. If you request deletion (and we're not required to keep it), we'll remove your personal details from our active records.
9 Your choices & rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your details (subject to legal retention).
- Unsubscribe from updates.
To exercise any of these, email hello@getmemoryassist.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
10 Cookies & analytics
The pre-order page uses, at most, minimal cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit and whether the page works — never to track individuals across the web for surveillance. If we add advertising audience tools (e.g., to find more families like our buyers), we'll use them in line with this notice and the platforms' rules, and never based on health status.
11 Children
Memory Assist's pre-order is intended for adults (caregivers and families). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
12 Changes
We may update this notice as the product and offering evolve. Material changes will be communicated, and the "last updated" date above will change.
